Does a cruise with Costa count towards the number of cruises with Carnival?

We’ve cruised with Carnival 5 times and we’re working towards becoming platinum Carnival members. Would a cruise with Costa count towards our cruises with Carnival since Costa is owned by Carnival?

    No, we just sailed with Princess. They did give us the past passenger discount because we had been on Carnival so many times before, but we did not get any of the perks, or anything added to our Carnival membership.

    The time being am sticking with princess cruises with carnival each is owned by carnival do not count with costa is owned by carnival each is exactly why for the time being am sticking with princess cruises with princess cruises with costa cruise that is run separately as separate company so can reach.
    Cruises so can reach elite status.
